Privacy Policy

This policy explains what information EVLONGHAUL ("we," "us") handles when you use evlonghaul.com (the "Service"), and the choices you have.
1. No Accounts, No Profiles
The Service does not offer user accounts. We do not ask for your name, email address, or any other registration information, and we do not build profiles of individual users. Trip inputs (locations, vehicle, charge settings) are processed to produce your plan and are not stored in a database by us, though route coordinates may appear transiently in the technical logs described in Section 2.
2. Information Processed to Serve You
Trip inputs. The locations you enter and coordinates along your route are sent to the service providers needed to fulfill your request — currently Mapbox (map display, place search, and driving routes) and two charging-station data services queried through our own server — the U.S. DOE/NREL Alternative Fuels Data Center and Open Charge Map. These providers receive the coordinates necessary to return maps, routes, and nearby chargers, and process them under their own privacy policies. We may change service providers; the current list is always on our Data & attribution page.
Server logs. Like nearly every website, our hosting infrastructure records standard technical logs — IP address, browser user-agent, pages and API paths requested, and timestamps — used for security, abuse prevention, and aggregate traffic statistics. We aim to retain logs no longer than about 30 days, and we do not use them to identify individuals.
3. Cookies and Advertising
The core planning features of the Service do not require cookies and do not use tracking cookies.
The Service will be supported by advertising. If and when advertising (Google AdSense) is active, Google and its partners may use cookies or similar technologies to serve and measure ads; where required, ads will be personalized only with your consent, which you will be able to give or refuse through a consent banner and change at any time via a privacy-settings link in the footer, both of which will be added before any advertising goes live. Non-personalized ads may be shown without tracking consent. See Google's advertising privacy documentation for details on how Google uses data from sites that use its services.
Affiliate links (for example, to charging adapters) may include an identifier telling the merchant the referral came from us; the merchant handles any purchase under its own privacy policy.
4. What We Do Not Do
We do not sell your personal information. We do not share personal information with third parties except the service providers described above, or where required by law. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13, and the Service is not directed to them.
5. Your Choices and Rights
You can use the Service without entering any personal information. You can refuse or withdraw ad personalization consent at any time. Depending on where you live, you may have legal rights regarding personal information (such as access or deletion); because we keep no user database, such requests will generally concern transient technical logs. We may update this policy from time to time; the "Last updated" date reflects the current version. Material changes will be noted on this page.
